If I didn't have the 5th wheel, the truck would probably be gone in favor of a Taurus, F150, or Grand Marquis.
Don't think for a second that a F150 is a efficient alternative. If ours gets 12mpg during the winter we are lucky. About 14 is the best we have ever seen with 10 being a low when I hook it up to the boat.
JL - Had I not converted my '97, it would be too expensive to run these days. Fuel here is $3.799. There has to be a limit to what we are willing to pay to keep them as daily drivers. I fully understand your decision and am glad you're not selling it.
Crumm, the F-150 would be the least efficient alternative. Our youngest son and DIL had a 2006 F150 SuperCrew w/4.6 that they traded on a 2007 Edge. They really love the Edge. Granddaughter (3 years old) loves it too because she can watch movies on the DVD player.
