    Oil Leak

    Yeah, this is where my leak came from. Mine sprayed oil onto the downpipe and I could see a black spot on it. Dealer wanted ~$900 to fix, I did it myself for ~$150 in parts. The new seal is much better than the original and should last longer. Took me about 6 hours but I was milking it.

    Our tree was down 12/23 because it is a living tree and we were going down to my parents house for Christmas. We live out where no one can see the house so I never put lights up. I think next year I may run a cord out to the street and put some lights out there.

    I guess weight makes a big difference. i was rearended by a woman in a Suburban that had a umbrella get under the brake. She claimed to be doing 35 and smashed the front of her Suburban up real good. It did $1,800 damage to my truck but I hardly felt it. I sure was glad I was not in my Accord.

    I use intellicast.com. They have nice satellite shots and seem to be a bit ahead of NOAA but they are still usually wrong. We all just live in the wrong place, the weatherman in Vegas says sunny and 110 degrees every day and he is right 98% of the time.

    The .17 hmr is more expensive than a .223 or 22-250 so I do not see the point in it. Less power for more money. For price and availablility the .223 is hard to beat but I do not think it has enough juice. An SKS in 7.62X39 can be had for cheap. What do you want to do with it?
