You heard me.
As of Monday, I'm going out of the powerstroke business.
$75 oil changes.
$3.70/gallon fuel
12 mpg at best (off a full 1.5mpg due to "winter" blend)
$180./apiece tires
this is ridiculous. Especially the fuel.
Wife says she's tired of the Ol' Blue pickup, wants a new car.
and I concurr, and we'll start looking next week.
so I'm thinking VW Jetta... Subaru Legacy...
the only Ford car I'd consider is a Crown Vic... and I don't think I'm gonna get all that far ahead...
Mighty Whitey is paid off in February... so I could swing an additional car payment for a few months... which I'm sure would be more than offset by the fuel savings...
this don't look like it's going to get any better any time soon...
and it's REALLY beginning to cut into my beer-drinkin fund-age...
I can't afford to buy a new car or truck, and at the same time I can't afford NOT to buy something else.
because home-biscuit's wallet is mighty light, nowadays...
