Hi all, I am a very happy man tonight. I found and bought my first truck from when I was in school. My dad bought the truck new in 1967 and gave it to me in 1984 which I drove until I sold it in 1987. Well she is mine again and I plan on keeping her for a long time. I will have to say that time hasn't been to good on her but she will eventually be better than new. Man I couldn't believe all the memories that came back to me when I set in it for the first time in 19 years. Some I definately don't want to tell the wife :D but the others is all I have been talking about. Anyway, I am picking her up Saturday and then the fun begins!! :sweet Oh yeah, I'm not going to neglet my 350 she just won't get alot of goodies like I originally planned. Man I haven't thought about it but the '67 would be killer if she had a diesel engine in her say 5-600HP and 1000ftlbs!!

Very nice. I have a friend here that still has the truck he got when he was 14 - more years ago than I will reveal. Good restoring!

How about a picture? You HAVE to take a bunch of "Before" pictures so you can see how far you've come when you're done!

Have a good one,
Dave

Cool car! I give though, what year is it? I have racked my brain and even done a search and I can't determine the year. Give us the details also as to what size motor etc.

Sorry, didnt mean to mislead. That particular car was not mine. Its a file pic of one like my first car. 1969 Mercury Montego 2 door hardtop. 351 W, 2bbl carb, FMX trans.

Mine was maroon with black vinyl hardtop and black vinyl interior.

Good deal, I know both of my parents highly regret that they got rid of their first rigs. I am 20 now, so I think I have a few years to catch up to you ole' boys and look back on the year 2002' when I got my rig...:D -popcorn -popcorn
