I had the truck running when I found the split, and there was oil coming out of the boot. You have oil running down, from up on top. That is why it is all over everything.
I'll try to take a video of it tomorrowI had the truck running when I found the split, and there was oil coming out of the boot.
It is normal to have some oil in that tube because the CCV runs through the intake. With your truck being a 2010 I would be getting a CCV reroute kit or a delete kit and if you live in California and need to keep it OEM get a new CCV box because you'll find yours is completely saturated with oil and carbon. To be honest I am a new to the diesel truck world I just bought a 2024 f250 and have been educating myself a lot, Never realized there was so much to learn till I got one.So my 2010 6.4 is throwing the code P2263. I found this split intercooler boot, which I'm guessing would be the culprit, but my bigger question is. Is there supposed to be oil coming out of it like this? Or am I looking at a bigger problem?
