    Finally....Tobacco free after 50 years.

You will get so you don't think about it at all but it takes a couple of years. Keep on the wagon. I've been off them since 1976 and was doing 2 cartons a week. Hard to quit but totally worth the effort. Jim

Should this link become a sticky??

Posted this on another site, which will remain unnamed but one that several here have been active members of, and it was deleted within a couple of hours with no explanation. Mind boggling. I wonder if that is one of the reasons this site is growing. :dunno My question is, what is in this link...

    Edge Stack

I've run them stacked and never saw the need to run the EVO on 100hp. 80 hp setting + the juice/attitude was way more than I wanted to put on the tranny. Will make a fair amount of smoke also if ya want it to. :thumbs Jim

How good is Mobil 1 gear lubes

Mobil 1 oil products are a PAO base synthetic and you just can't purchase anything any better. I know that the Amsoil and Royal Purple people will chime in here but they are all just about the same. I've used Mobil 1 in the gears for years and it is a good lube. Jim

    Injector Buzz Test and more?

When my truck started running on4 cylinders, I did a buzz test. I don't think you are looking for any particular sound as much as the fault that keeps any of the injectors from firing. In my case, I found the #5 injector feed wire shorted to ground and the buzz test pointed me directly to that...

Cps help is on it's way?

Instead of just being a nay sayer on the CPS, why not share the info you gleaned from the Dieselmans site as to the fix. I'm sure some of us that carry a spare, would like to know that answer in case it ever happens to us so we don't break out the new CPS we have stored for these many years. And...

    Amsoil in rear diff?

All the SDs have 75w140 synthetic in them from the factory. I put in Amsoil but it was only because I couldn't find any synthetic locally except at the Ford dealer and that was $19 a qt. Jim

    MOBIL-1 Synthetic ATF warning!

Start saving your money. You will have a new tranny rebuild in your future. Especially if you do any heavy towing or have a heavy foot. Your owners manual says it is not OK and so do many tranny experts. Maybe this is a way for you to get a new BTS tranny?????? Jim

    Is this Gelled Fuel??? Help!!!!

We have one chain of stations here in W.Mich that their fuel gels at about 7 above. You have to remember that #1 is more money than #2 fuel oil and the name of the game is money. Let the buyer beware. All winter blended fuel is not equal. Have a friend that drives for a major hauling company...

    Chip Position Recommendations

I use stock all the time. Reasons: (1) Great for when someone borrows truck. (2) Snow and ice. (3) Doesn't sound like engine is coming apart when its cold out. (4) My chip had 2 positions for programs. Switch for control had 3 positions. Jim

    EBPV stealing all power

It will probably increase your fuel mileage as well. Glad you found your problem. Jim

    EBPV stealing all power

I think the valve is controlled by an outside temp. sensor located in the air intake and possibly the engine temp or oil temp. If it opens when you unplug it, plug is under and in front of the turbo base, you could install a temporary switch in one of the wires feeding the valve control. Jim

    One more Dahl 100 question.....

I didn't install a Dahl but a Racor and left the OEM in. What is it going to hurt. 25k on the OEM after the addition of the extra filter and it is just as clean as when it was installed. Leave it in for added protection. Jim

    The IDM mod DECODED!!!

You have to remember, the kids they hire are trained only to sell the upper end sound stuff and not much more. Did he/she offer to order it for you? Probably not because you are only talking a 25 cent item here and probably not worth it to him/her. Jim
