    Another Block heater ???

on my 03 it was there & listed as a option on the factory window sticker. So unless they are installing them and not listing them on the sticker? I don't have one.

    Another Block heater ???

I recently noticed the 06 I had to buy in a hurry doesn't have one. I'm in Michigan and frequent the U.P. in winter (upper peninsula for non michigan people) The temps up there can be negative for days with nasty winds coming off the lake. My question is where on the 6.0 is the heater? can...

    Diesel vs Gas 07 F-350

    06 6.0 runs cooler than my 03

I did some driving around town today in the 06. I noticed a couple things, first the factory temp guage hardly registered for the first 30-40 minutes. I had plenty of heat in the cab, just a low guage temp. Second was whenever I stopped for more than a couple minutes (even after the truck was...

What does this mean, tryin to learn!

Here's my ignorance, someone please correct me if I'm wrong :dunno Everyone calls their 350 fords and 3500 chevy & dodge's a 1 tone pickup. I always thought a ton was 2000 pounds, if that is correct then wouldn't our 350 or 3500 trucks technically be a 2 ton??? The payload of a SRW 350 is around...

    Plowing Snow

Try lowering the rear tire pressure as much as you safely can with that weight. That should help you with traction and releasing snowpack in the tread.

    I JUST KILLED MY TRANNY!!!!

you must have cursed yourself when you wrote this "135k on my 10-03 built 2004 F350 SRW, no major problems either." Sorry, that blows!:(

Some info on early 6.0's please

75K on the 03, tons of problems, all corrected by Ford. If you can afford to go without the truck for a while 03&04's are fine but some can be risky. I bought my 06 because I didn't want to get into a situation where I had to replace the 03 with the first year of the 6.4L - and end up USC again...

    driveline issue...

On my 06/auto (w/ 19K) about every 7-8th time I put it in reverse I get a terrible, whole truck shaking shutter. Sort of feels like the trans isn't going completely into reverse right away. When it happens if I back off the pedal and give it a couple seconds it goes away. I will be addressing it...

    What is a jake brake?

Michigan trucks really need the brake even without steep grades. Michigan permits trucks up to  164,000 pounds  on the system. However, different than other states, Michigan requires a lower weight per axle which more evenly distributes the load and reduces wear and tear on roads...

    Wind Deflector-or Not

My humble opinion is, if you're getting that mileage already the wind deflector won't help enough to justify the cost. I pull a few different trailers some smaller and heavy, some larger and lighter. Anything over 5K regardless of size gets me the same mileage (12 if I keep it under 70) Good luck

    Conti Tires

Here's an issue I had once. After buying new tires and 3 repeat visits to the shop that installed them they still had the shakes. So I took the truck to another shop and had them balanced, problem solved! So either the balancing machine was out of whack or the employees didn't know what they...

    Engine hours

Just thought of something else. I don't know if this is possible but can odometers still be disconnected? maybe you don't have 15K at all. Also, was it used as a plow last winter? where are you?

    Engine hours

14K @ 380hrs here. Anyone considered changing oil based on engine hours instead of miles. I was thinking about changing every 150 hours.

    06 radio aux input...

Can anyone save me the trouble of pulling my dash apart. I'm wondering if the 6 disc factory radio has simple RCA aux inputs? Or as in some other models, do I need a $100 adapter/harness to use this feature??? Thanks for the help:thanks
