Tony has the "order number" marked as a required piece of information to comlete the ordering process on the reburn order page. I also thought I saw that you get free reburns with purchasing the reburn from him as well:dunno I may be wrong.
I contacted him, asking about the order numer, told...
AE is home software... $2-400. MODIS (Snap-On) is more durable shop scanner....$3000. May be cheaper than that at some places.
Dont forget to fill out your sig in the user cp
It actuates all 8 injectors at once (engine is off for this test)....then cycles through each injector. IIRC its the same as the firing order:dunno Listen for one/or more injectors that sound weak, or different, from the others.
Compression- self explanatory
Contribution test- test each...
The code reader I'm talking about can run 3 different tests (buzz, compression, contribution) on the injectors to see if you have a bad one. The simple OBDII scanners, like what autozone use, wont cut it. I'd bet it will fail the buzz test....
I emailed him, saying that their site was down and it appeared they was no longer in business. A week later and still hadn't heard from him. He does request the original order# on the ordering form for the reburn.
I have since went to PHP and ordered a reburn for cheaper than what Tony was...
What are you pulling with? Need to fill out your sig in the user control pannel.
Most/Some trucks will be fine with bigger tires....if they are stock. I'm not too familiar with the 6.0 or 6.4 tranny's. I just know the 4R100 TC is not rated for a modded 7.3. Bigger tires do add more strain to...
My dad has a 96 F250 2wd, it has 640,000 hard pulling miles on the factory injectors (could really use a re-build at this point), but it still goes strong after it wams up. I think the transmission has been rebuilt twice.
I'm a really big fan of the OBS truck....had a lot of good luck with ours.
I'd check the relay first (burnt spots....good connection). If thats good, then you have to cycle the key over for the WTS light to come on. Just because the light goes off doesn't mean that the relay is not getting any juice. Check it with a volt meter, I think you got 1-1.5min to check it. If...
Curious to the answer to this question myself. I've always took my truck somewhere to have it done.
I have considered putting the plug-in for the block heater on a timer.....making it come on like an hour before I'm ready to leave in the morning. I just havn't found a timer that appealed to...
I'd say its normal, how many miles on those injectors? I've started plugging my truck up...even though its getting down into the 40s-low 30's. Even though I got a good glow plug system, I like having the block warm so I dont have to wait 15 min for it to get good and warm.
I bought my chip from this company about 2yrs ago. I'm needing to get in touch with them to get the original order number so I can have Tony re-burn my chip. I've googled and found their site, but I the server does not respond when I hit the link. Anyone know how to get in touch with them....or...
There is someone that has taken a ranger and put (IIRC) a 4 cylinder cummins. Its been modified....I'm sure fuel economy wasnt in mind. You can search it on youtube "cummins ranger"
If I was a 6.0 owner....that would be my top priority. As far a preventative maintanence....that all I could recommend. Then you could do the power-ups (gauges, exhaust, programmer, **stock intake is good up to 500hp**)
Sorry....been out of the loop all week.
Yes it WAS true that they was having this event. However, because lack of intrest from others....it has been put off untill spring of next year. I also talked to Jody and he said that he promised 5yrs ago that he would not re-flash TS chips. :(
So...
I was just went to DP Tuner's contact page and read that they are going to be gone to a dyno day down in Baton Rouge and Jody will be doing live tuning. Anybody else heard of this?..planned to attend?? Think I may have to talk my wife into a road trip:stir Only about a 3hr ride from where I live
Well the 6 point buck that was laying on the side of the natchez trace about 2 weeks ago made the decision for me to get a new bumper. And those bumper seem to be more plentiful than my OEM bumper. I have been wanting to do the 05 grille anyways so this seemed like a good opportunity to do it a...
Looking for a new/used front bumper. I was wondering if an 05 front bumper would bolt up to my 01 F350. My goal is to just being able to buy a regular 05 grille without cutting it out to fit. And doesn't the headlights have to be changed as well for the 05 grille?
Cant the injector/cyliner tests tell you if you have an injector going out? It would seem like that would be a good confirmation that some of the injectors needed to be replaced.
