Plant drive kit install
+1 :cool: If your winter temps are below freezing I suggest using a 1/2" ID hose for your coolant loop. I used 3/8" but if I were to do it again I'd go with 1/2".- hheynow

power steering suddenly really easy.
If you decide on a replacement don't get a rebuilt Cardone steering box with the thought to save money. FYI I had one put in and it failed within 6 months. Second one under warranty is good so far.- hheynow

Prices are going up.
I haven't paid one copper cent for seasoned oak in twelve years. ;tu Usually I cut up and split fallen oaks on my property. This past spring a road crew was cutting oaks on a mountain road near by. Sneaky me showed up for five consecutive days at 3PM when they finished and snagged six pickup...- hheynow

Removing Dash Bezel on '96 F-250
Turn the key and put it into 1st gear. This will get the shifter lever out of the way. Remove the two plastic trim pieces on either side of wheel. Remove the screws. Remove the headlight knob (allen key). Gently pull back bezel enough to unhook the two connected wire clips (fuel switch & warning...- hheynow

:doh: Yup, I put a short length of hose on the tubing so when I drain it (on purpose :D) it drains into a bucket NOT all over my front axle. :rant :D- hheynow

Question which gauge
1. Look at dieselmanor.com for price comparison. IIRC there were some problems with RPM Outlet. I have white faced Isspro EV series electrical tranny, boost and pyro and Stewart Warner mechanical water and fuel temp (I run vegoil). 2.Most tap pre-turbo for a more accurate reeading. Sure it's OK...- hheynow

Question Replacing Serpentine
The nut size is 15mm. Use a 3/8 drive w/ 15mm 6 point socket. I slip a cheater bar (hollow length of pipe) over the socket wrench and push towards driver's side to loosen the belt. Easiest with two people as one hold the cheater bar while the other R&Rs the belt. Takes one minute.- hheynow

It's obvious to me why you do it. :clap: I'm waiting for the California fires to be put out and for the air to clear before I take my first road trip of the summer. Everywhere I wanna go is either smoky or near a wild fire. :rant- hheynow

I've driven by two in California one in Palm Springs and one at the Altamont Pass which is east of San Francisco but they are very small compared to the Pickens Plan and of 80's technology too. Palm Springs Altamont Pass Yup, the "Not in my back yard" mind set is the biggest hurdle.- hheynow

Help Needed power door locks went crazy today...
A similar thing happened to me while driving on the interstate. All of a sudden both door actuators (it's a reg cab) kept clicking and the door buttons would go up and down continuously ALL BY ITSELF! It wouldn't stop no matter what I tried.
