    yes, i am with you on that one... my question is, does the cpu of our trucks pull temp data from the sensor and apply it to throttle, and such... in other words... will my truck run better if i replace the sensor.

    UCV harness and all plugs recently replaced as well as fuel filter.... filter was very dark and polluted... least i think it was dark. i'll check the new filter... so long as i dont have to deal with piston rings... all i see there is a nightmare.

    did you check your wiring harness? same thing happened to my truck. had to floor it maxing out at 30mph on the freeway. the wires in the valve gasket shorted internally.

    ok replaced the cps and not a problem. good thing as i had to put 500 miles on it this weekend. an easy fix, only trouble was getting the old sensor out. had to pry on it and broke the external plastic off. might have came out easier if i'd of had the engine warm. Thanks for all your insight...

    yeah, i read that post but it's not really a solution. the wires should be larger gauge and there should be a fuse link to shut down the overheating plug before it destroys everything.
