    Yes, I have a stock TC, but I really dont think thats issue here given that my temps are well within normal range and I've got nice firm shifts. It just sounds driveline related but I need to test all of the pulleys etc.

    to my knowledge, that sensor has been in the same location on all the 7.3L Superduties. Someone correct me if im wrong on that...there might be a difference with an early 99. 2003-04 6.0's got silly and put it behind the turbo...so the turbo had to come off to replace the sensor...

    well i cant speak for the tapping you hear, but as for the oil... drive the HELL out of it. thats what will purge the air from the system and get everything cleaned out. should completely eliminate your hard starts, and smoke in the exhaust...except for the black which is normal on...

    well my thinking is no on the UVC and the hotshots. UVC's were both replaced back when i was having the CEL issue, so i know they are in good shape, and when i had the glowplugs and injector o-rings replaced when the turbo was replaced...they looked them over and said everything looked good...

    almost positive thats not the case...i just flushed and changed the fluid approx. 5k miles ago, and have it filled back up to spec. Any other thoughts? Could it be something in the driveline besides the trans like a carrier bearing, u-joints etc?

    my guess is an o-ring was pinched/improperly installed and thats causing oil to get by...it would explain your smoke and hard starting.

    Question What did you do to your truck today?

    Last week, washed, waxed, and polished the 5inch SS exhaust tip (was getting dirty) with some Mother's mag and aluminum polish. Also cleaned the leather. Finally got the leaking waterpump replaced, and changed the oil today and added the hotshots secret. we shall see how it works!

    Intercooler cleaning

    pipes should be a piece of cake...just flush water through them with some soap and let it all dry. i know dpantzis has taken out the entire intercooler and cleaned the insides before... does anyone know if oil accumulates inside of the intercooler or will it just all fall to the bottom of it...
