Last week, washed, waxed, and polished the 5inch SS exhaust tip (was getting dirty) with some Mother's mag and aluminum polish. Also cleaned the leather.

Finally got the leaking waterpump replaced, and changed the oil today and added the hotshots secret. we shall see how it works!

ever think it could be this "hotshot secret" messing with the anti-foam properties of the oil?

Go back to when it started and think about what you did/what happened...

well my thinking is no on the UVC and the hotshots.

UVC's were both replaced back when i was having the CEL issue, so i know they are in good shape, and when i had the glowplugs and injector o-rings replaced when the turbo was replaced...they looked them over and said everything looked good.

Hot-Shots...i would say that could be the culprit, but i noticed it when i drove it home from the shop, and that was prior to the oil change and addition of hot shots.

The only thing that has changed was the water pump being replaced....maybe the belt is binding up or something?

by chance, did you change the serpentine belt too with the water pump? is the belt router right? check your idler pulley and tensioner pulleys. DAMHIKT!

i didnt change the wp. had my mech do it, and he did not change the belt. if it were a pulley issue shouldnt i feel it more in the front of the vehicle and not the rear?

On update...i checked the trans fluid, it was pretty, full, pink, and still smelled fresh. also checked the rear end fluid...it too was full, goopy, and smelled just like it did when i put it in...HORRIBLE:lmao

Seriously though...everything was fine fluid wise and not burnt.

Is it possible that since i replaced a part of the entire pulley system, that it could now be showing weak links in other areas of it? ie idler, tensioner etc.

Jr:
Idler and belt are easy to check and eliminate. But if you think that its coming from the back of the truck or if it's driveline, it very well could be

Anyhow, make sure you have picture decal under the hood for belt routing. If not, we can post one up,
1/2" breaker bar or ratchet wrench and cheater are all you need to use to unload the tensioner to get the belt off and to check idler and tensioner pulleys. If they turngood and feel smooth, they are prolly ok.

K, ill check those today. I've had the belt off before so im not concerned about getting to that.

On the way in to work this morning, i got the rpm's up to 2500+ in various gears and held it there. from what i can tell, it only seems to be occuring when i have a load on it and im accellerating. Once im cruising, it doesnt seem to happen.

Now its starting to sound like a tourqe converter. Do you have a stock tc?...I didn't see anything in your sig about anything aftermarket
