    Amsoil kit use oem spin-on?

    I wasn't sure how the amsoil bypass worked. The one I have looked at you use your regular filter mount. Then you use ports off of that mount for the bypass. Sorry if I miss lead you. I figured they all pretty much worked the same way.

    I have one on my 97. I have a chip with it. So I can tell that it helps at the bottom and throttle response. It will give you more adjustability than the 10K. Plus they are SDD sponsor.

    Mine did this for a while and it has quit. Mine might have been a loose connection.

    I would use the oem. The bypass is going to do all the fine filtering. The full flow is to filter is fast. Why spend the extra money. If you have to buy a special full flow filter the I wouldn't have bought their bypass filter.

    GP relay/alternator?

    Mine has been doing that for awhile also. It only does it for a few minutes after it starts. I had heard that it was something about building up the voltage. I don't know can someone else help out?

    New to the forum

    I bought my 97 with 220K and am now sitting at over 360K. I didn't have any transmission problems until I put a chip in and was pulling a light trailer up and down hills. Just look it over really well. But as long as it checks out ok then :thumbs.

    Hope you got the insurance on that dog so when it falls apart. I had to put mine in a few years ago and they only had a chevy gas. Not bad I know I got my money out of their tires. It was the new small block and would break the tires loose in a heart beat.

    I would reinstall if you have hammered on it any. Then take it easy for the first 20-30 shifts so it can learn them. Then hammer down all you want. Its hard I know to take it easy. But go run some errands in it around town and just run it through the gears.

    I have heard when reprogramming the computer on them you have to go through 20 light shifts before hammering on it for the computer to learn the program.

    Figured out that the hose they gave me was faulty. Replaced it with the warranty of the one I had bought and everything seems to be working like a charm again.

    Having trouble getting out of Four Low

    Ive never had a problem with mine. Just grab the lever throw it out of low into high then into 2 high and good to go. Now sometimes having it come out of 4 hi to 2 then sometimes stays in for a little bit. 97 f150 was the first of that new body. I can see that.
