I would use the oem. The bypass is going to do all the fine filtering. The full flow is to filter is fast. Why spend the extra money. If you have to buy a special full flow filter the I wouldn't have bought their bypass filter.

If you bought the dual remote bypass system, then yes, you need to buy the Amsoil Full flow filters. And actually, why would you not want too? They are made to last 25000 miles or 1 year, with their oil, and with the bypass filter, your oil is being constantly cleaned.

I personally changed my full flow twice a year and the bypass once, but I am probably going to just change them both once a year, or maybe every other for the bypass.

How do you know when to change them? I can't seem to find my instructions...Is that what they recommend? Have you had your oil analyzed(sp) to see what your oil change interval should be? I use Rotella 15t, not the Amsoil stuff.
Let me hijack my own thread here...
I see in your sig you have the Ex sound panels, they go in the doors or something? Make it quieter? Did you notice any difference with your bright box?

I wasn't sure how the amsoil bypass worked. The one I have looked at you use your regular filter mount. Then you use ports off of that mount for the bypass. Sorry if I miss lead you. I figured they all pretty much worked the same way.

No biggy, I partially was wondering if the full-flow oem filter had the same thread pitch as the Amsoil full-flow. I also was curious about my oil change interval now that I have the system, as well as what my filter change interval should be.
Thanks,
Jesse

As to when I change them, I have always changed the full flow twice a year, and the bypass once. That was before the media change by Amsoil, so I may extend them. I usually get an OA twice a year, when I changed the filters. I will probably still do the twice a year with OA, but keep the filters longer, if I can.

The info for the sound panels can be found here (Link to the dark side, sorry)

My "bright box" mod is two relays and heavy wire to power the head light right off of the battery. One set per side. Makes a big difference. I also use the brighter white bulbs that are same wattage, not the silverstars though. Link and link to the bright box (Another dark side)

I need to move some pictures over here. Someday....

I really don't remember what the number is:( I bought mine from a buddy who is a preferred customer. I remember dieselsite.com was only about $20 more expensive, Bob's a good guy to deal with.
