Truck just cranks, never turns over

A friend of mine hooked up a chip to his truck, now the truck just cranks but never turns over. What do we do?

Yeah, even with the chip out it won't start...just cranks

i hope it didnt fry anything major,so it ran before the chip im assuming.

Yes it ran before installing the new chip

i had a bully dog do that once. It lost the original program(sort of) the computer did not recognize the motor or something. So it would not start. Bully dog took my vin made a new program. i downloaded to the programmer then the truck. all was fixed. I can explain better if this sounds like a possibility?
what chip?

It's a 6-position chip but I have no way to download anything to the chip

Yes it ran before installing the new chip

Were the batteries connected when he pulled the PCM to clean the contacts? Were the key in the ignition when the chip was installed? Do you get a WTS light?

If keys were in the ignition he may have fried the PCM.

i i did the samething i installed a bullydog 6 p chip on my truck works great one day i was installing lights on my truck working under the dash and pulled on the wires to the chip chip came out of pcm o**** reinstalled chip no wts light no gpr no fuel hooked up scanner got a error fail to read out 400.00 for reman pcm allways unhook battery no matter what
