are you saying that 02 7.3 had a bleed down issue of the hpop resivior?
No, there is a difference between the OBS pumps and the SD pumps, the SD pumps work on an OBS truck, but in that application there are bleed down issues.

We'll try to go slower for ya next time. :roflmao

Only the 94-95 models WILL have that problem if the 94-95 guys put a SD HPOP in their trucks. They will have to do one the mods Radarman mentioned.

Jim,

Will the SD pump guts slide into the OBS pump housing?

Mike did you get a good enough deal to offset your new costs?-popcorn
I got it for almost half what a new pump costs. If this is going to be a cluster of a mess, I might just re-sell it and do more research next time. I was un aware of the incompatiblity issues. I figured the SD HPOP was the cats jammers for a cheap way out to better high pressure oil.

You don't want to go down that road... 2 of us spent about 4 hours trying to get my old 97 pump apart to see how it ticks. There was a 2lb hammer, brass drift, chisels and a 20T hyd press involved and the only thing we had to show for it was a few bloody knuckles and one beat-up looking pump. Apparently there is a seal that has to be cut out and replaced with a new one in order to get to the "Top Secret Squirrel" snap ring.
Is yours a late model 95? There still might be hope.
I'd give Swamp a call because he makes the 20* pumps so if anybody would know if you could do it, he would.
