Hi guys.
I have a 03 excursion with a 6.0 in it and 107000 miles. The motor is all stock except for a cat back i think. Its been running good since 07 when i got it, and the oasis was very good, not much had been done to it. I did replace the hpop shortly after i got it, but it was on its way out when i got it.
Starting a few months ago, in the morning when i start it up it has a miss, if I rev it up a little, it feels like a dead hole. No smoke, exhaust looks normal. When it warms up it goes away and runs just like normal. Or if i start it up and dont warm it up fully and shut it off and let it sit for a little bit and what ever heat is there starts to saturate, it will also run fine.
I have been getting the codes for cylinder 1,2,3,4 injector control circuit low. (ie.p0264) My fuel mileage has also gone down.
Is this possibly my FICM going out?

Thank you
Bear

Could be the ficm, do you have a way to monitor the voltage? If it is just bad when cold, sounds like Rev-x could help you too.

P0264 Cylinder 2 Injector Circuit Low as shown in the WIKI Section here; TikiWiki I saw this code when my FICM died. You are getting codes for the other cylinders and this tells me that the FICM is going to be dead very soon. Electronics do this a lot.

have you ever had the pcm reflashed for the cold start up for the injectors.

I have recently been getting injector codes on most all the injectors after getting on the peddle (not while driving regularly).

I also recently installed an EGR delete. Would you think that because there is now more clean air intake pressure (without the recirc pressure from the EGR increasing the turbo) and the computer is trying to increase fuel/air mixture that the injector pressure can not be maintained? (hope I explained this correctly)

I am planning on installing a "blue spring" to increase the fuel pressure to the injectors. I can only hope that my FICM is not going bad. The voltage on FICM is correct

Suggestions...

thanks for the help so far.
I did get the reflash for injectors back in 07 when i got it. the cold start before the reflash is similar to the way it is acting now.
This morning it took a turn for the worse. It kept having a miss for awhile after it was warm. Then when i left work it wouldn't fire. I got my volt meter out and popped the cover off of the ficm to check voltages. 48 volts with key on. Then i tried to start it, while it was spitting and sputtering trying to idle the voltage was only 17.5 volts. I quessing this is my problem.
So after some more research i found out about pulling the ficm apart to see if there was some broke solder joints. Probably at least 8 of the 16 joints that commonly break, were broke. Going to try and resolder the joints at hope that fixes it. If not Ill be sending it to swamps to be fixed and possibly a reflash from power hungry.

FYI
When i had the hpop changed in 07 the techs broke the lock clips on the pcm plug (the larger of the 3 plugs. the smaller plugs are the injectors). When it was reassembled they glued the plug into the ficm. Needless to say i had to break the plug to get it out. I have read alot about them not being available and to just zip tie the plugs to the ficm. That fix wouldn't work in my case. In searching for the plugs i found this place that sells them individually. I just ordered it so i will let you know how it is when it comes in.
