Does anyone have the process on what it takes to remove the cab? I need to do head gaskets asap and I am trying to get all my ducks in a row.
Thanks

RS,
I can get you the cab removal procedures as I work for a body shop, but I am not certain that you want to in order to do the head gaskets. I am new to diesel ownership but I have replaced frames on these many times, is the cab removal absolutely necessary? Let me know or shoot me an email and I will get the those p-pages over to you....Dune

This question has been gone over before in past posts and it seems that many of us have had our H.G.'s replaced w/o removing the cab,or engine. Sooo... It can be done. Obviously easier w/ cab off, but maybe some techs can do it quicker without removal. What is Fords recommmended proceedure? Maybe it's necessary on the newer S.D.'s, I don't know. My $.o2On the 6.0's to properly do the headgaskets, and/or headstuds, you have to remove the cab, or pull the engine. You can't get to some of the back headbolts if you don't. The general consensus is that it is faster and easier to pull the cab, then the engine. My local Ford dealer pulled my cab in just a couple of hours, when they replaced my headgaskets.
