Removal Of Cab

I pulled the cab and did the heads on my buddy's truck. It took 1 1/2 hours to pull it loose, but we were doing studs and a new turbo too. I do remember that you can pull the front clip and hood to just head gaskets. It's EZer to work on. But if you do that, get a small drill bit and drill some alignment holes into the fender near the bolts so you can line everything back up. just my :2c

Boy, wouldn't it be nice if Ford would just give us a reliable freakin engine so we don't have to screw around with all this BS?:rant

oh, i can vouche that it is do-able (at home in your garage:confused:)

this is standard procedure i was told. as for the procedure -:dunno

i can tell you i have had no 'afterward' issues...:sweet

I know of ONE person who did head STUDS, with the cab on, and engine in. It can be done, but that is NOT the proper way to do it with studs. Just using headbolts is another story.
