Well, it's official. I got a call this afternoon telling me when to report for orientation & training for my new job. 
I start after school, the last week of March.
It's been a long time coming. It's been about 2 1/2 years since I got layed off from my last full time job. I feel pretty fortunate. I saw on the news a week or two ago, where recent statistics show people 55 or older who lose their jobs have only a 39% chance of finding another.
on edit: Don't let it get around, but I actually think I'm older than Robert.
