Said y'all had about 110" of snow so far this year.
Depends on what part of da U.P. you're talking about. The wind direction off of Lake Superior has a HUGE affect on where the snow falls. A West to NW wind will bury the western U.P. and areas from Munising along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. My area around Marquette will sort of be in a 'lake effect shadow'. It takes a North to NE wind to dump snow a lot on us. But so far, the snow amounts have seemed rather typical. Not real cold, but normal snow.

....but it is a long way from the grandkid.
That sucks!! :(:(

Good luck!!!!! I've got an interview Monday afternoon for a postion that will probably only pay 1/2 what I was making. At least it will be a job.

The HR lady came to campus on Thursday and did screening testing and interviews. The screening test was something, some of the most stupid, incomprehensible questions I've ever seen. In spite of that, out of 68, I only missed two. Later, in comparing notes with some of my classmates, I found out some of them missed in excess of 20.

As brutal as it was , I must have been on a roll that day. We had two tests in class in addition to the hiring test. I missed a grand total of 4 questions on them all. I was very pleased with myself. :D

I'm sure I nailed the interview too. When she came to the 'usual' last question "why should we hire you over the over applicants"? I reiterated that I was the only applicant who has experience as a paid aircraft maintainer. I have a better GPA (4.0) than any of the other applicants. I interned during Christmas break working on small aircraft. I'm the designated tutor for the students in the class year behind me. I've only missed 2 class periods (not even a full day) in the last 18 months. Or in short, the best and most qualified applicant in all respects. All in all, I pulled out all the stops and used every bit of 'cannon fodder' I had at my disposal.

I should hear something more next week. Tuesday is the rumor I heard.
