I have a 2004 xCab 6.0 Automatic F250 and I am having some issues......long story
It all started about two weeks when I was on a trip out of state...went to pull into a gas station to get some fuel, get almost to the pump and the power steering goes completely out, well this cuzed me to miss the pump so I put it in reverse and go to back up and I have power steering again....fill up go about another 100 miles and go to pull in the hotel and pwoer steering goes out again, again I put it in reverse and I have power steering again...and the power steering hasn't acted up since...but when leaving the hotel and getting onto the interstate the truck seems to have no power..I put it flat to the floor at 60 mph and nothing really happens...RPMS don't change tranny doesn't shift down after holding the pedal to the floor for about 20 secs truck will slowly pick up speed, but won't get above about 80 and the RPMS don't really change....well every since all this happened two weeks ago the trucks performance seems to be going down hill. At first i thought it was a tranny issue, but I really don't think it is cuz the tranny shifts smooth, and the RPM's aren't changing....The truck will not pull any RPMS...sometimes I can get it up to about 3K RPM's but it won't budge over 3K(normally I wouldn't be trying to make it run over 3K, but I know there is an issue)...and if you make it hold 3k's for about 10 secs under acceleration it will drop down to about 2800K's for a split second then jump back up to 3K without the tranny shifting or the motor sounding any different...the truck runs and drives, but just seems to have no power...I have had the oil filter, fuel filters, oil, transmission fluid and filter and air filter all changed with no luck....any ideas on what could be wrong with my truck?
Cliff Notes: Truck won't pull RPM's
