Well I have an old laptop that I never use anymore and I want to install a GPS and and DVD player in to the truck.. SO Ive decided to mount it into the Truck, Ive decided to get the GPS setup with the Topograph by Garmin, and load in onto the comp. How do you guys mount yours, Im tempted to build it into the custom ceter consol, but I want to see whats out there and how some of you guys mount them for use

Jotto-Desk makes some that are stout (yes I am linking to a police supply cause it is easy to find there :sweet )

Vehicle specific and universal are out there from them, no they aren't cheap, but they are all there for the mount and stand up well to rough and tumble :)

I started out with the Jotto desk - but later went ahead and built it into my custom center console.

Click on my VB Garage pictures - link below in my signature to see it.

I never realized that Ford, Lincoln and Mercury made Camaro's from 1997 until 2005  It appears that they may have a typo on there site. Where are the Universal ones listed? I didn't see anything older than a 1999 for Ford trucks.

DOn't have help for your mounting needs but GREAT choice in GPS. I use the GARMIN in the Truck and Boat works great, even though I haven't used the Topograph I know some that have with no complants.

I have my "old" Garmin GPS 3+ stuck
at a low point on my dash (used "super velcro")...

My garmin provides a serial cable/input to MS Streets &
Trips (2006 has voice guidance)...so on LONG trips or
trips where i need to see the screen i use a laptop...i just
set the laptop on the center console/fold down or in
the floor.

Pics of the GPS HERE
