Looking for a Block heater cord

My apologies to all for a bum steer.
At the local dealership I had asked where my cord was and they told me that I had neither the cord nor the heater element. Today I was back to have the steering stabilizer replaced and the "diesel guy" looked at it. Yes the block heater is there, just no cord. So good news, mystery solved.
-13 night before last, -8 last night, I'm getting a cord. What's special about the International cord?
