injector cackle

I have real bad injector cackle, I have tried 2 cycle oil andpower service. Its not always there. It comes and goes. But it comes more then it goes.
I am going to do the intank mods as soon as it gets empty.
The truck has miles on it. It runs real well and uses no oil, but maybe I have some bad injectors? Nothing is skipping or acting funny, just bad cackle? Other then air, could this be injectors going out? I have heard a lot of thiese trucks, this trucks cackle is weorse than others. I would hate to buy a long lead injector for cyl 8 and find out another one is failing and making noise? Maybe it does not work that way?
I know cyl 8 is last in line for fuel? Which cylinder is that?
The fuel enters pass side rear and drivers side front if i am correct?
any help with ideas, I am open for it.

Doing the HX mod might help.

It equalizes the HPOP pressure between the oil rails (heads).

I saw that mod, but i didnot think it would help cackle. I knew it was good for the balancing of the oil pressure. How would it help the cackle, if you don't mind me asking?

Yer (stock) HPOP system is basically.. Dead Ended. Equalizing the pressure between the oil rails helps to "Pop" the injectors, on Both heads, at the far end of the rails.. with more equal... pressure.

Same holds true with Air in the fuel. (uneven pressure)

Same holds true with fuel Pressure. (not enough, stock)

Jus my take, but it's all about.. Purging Air, Higher Fuel Pressure, and Balancing the oil pressure needed to "Pop" the injectors, can = Less Cackle. (and a more efficient running, 7.3)

There's abunch of ways to do all this.. It just depends on how much Money ya wana spend.....

I did the hutch mod(not the tank) but the pre pump line. I even have all the cackle with full tank. I did not think it was air from the pick up. Could be at the pick up to the fuel line connections on top of the tank?

if it was me (and it was once) i would do the low buck, easy DIY fixes first. if they did not work, then start looking at big dollar solutions.

the hutch mod eliminates the introduction of air into the fuel system. if you get cackle with a full tank, then you might be sucking air at the fittings at the fuel pump. doing ALL the hutch mode stuff includes getting rid of those.

that fuel crossover is interesting. that website looks like the vegistroke guy. but for that price, you are half way to a real regulated return with 2/3 the labor of one as getting to those fuel ports is the worst part.

I did the fitting at the fuel pump, but none at the the top of the tank, I could be sucking air their just as easy, they are quick disconnect too.(I think)
DP= that is the veggie guy. They have a regulated return that uses that line set up but adds to it. $199 dollars total.
The hx line seems real easy to install compared to the other.
