Tbar no mounting holes.
Mine came with a bent aluminum bracket.
Let's talk about an oily mess.
The stains are from me disconnecting the fuel line one day and never bothering to clean it. :D That was in Aug-Sept when I had the fuel clog problem.
God forbid I clean it and ruin my vegoil undercoating. :lmao

Happiness is warm bioD on a cold winter's morning :sweet

Richard, where you have your exchanger mounted at in the photo? Unfortunately my HE didn't come with a bracket like yours so I have to fab up one(ideas?),I think Txatty might have something left over from his racor install,I'll chime him.

Bill here's an idea that has merit. Connect the HE fuel out-port directly to your Dahl fuel filter in-port with brass fittings. Less heat loss! Don't know how large or heavy your HE is. :dunno :2c

I have the K030 x 26 and it weighs about 4 solid pounds. The measured dimensions are posted in the photos a few posts up.

Richard, the Excursion has no real places to mount the HE to frame near the Dahl but there's a great location in the engine area which would be perfect and thats to the back side of the steel AFE shroud but the only drawback is the 10' of 5/16 fuel line to make the trip from the Dahl to the HE and back to the pump inlet which is 8' more in the Dahl's current setup.

My current fuel PSI is at 75lbs,in your opinion could I maintain 70+ lbs psi with the 8' added fuel line with the HE about 1' higher than the fuel pump?

Adding insulation to the fuel line won't be a problem.

Not to hijack this thread but I'm re-plumbing my fuel supply for a more efficient heating. I'm relocating the 12v Vegtherm heater to the engine bay so most of that spaghetti under the truck will be eliminated. I'm also adding a 12v 70watt pad heater for my vegoil filter. See photo. It's really great. I hooked it up to 12v for a test and within three minutes it was at 174*F noted by my IR heat gun. ;tu I now can use fatty oil without fear of fuel filter clogging and low winter temps will no longer be an issue. :hail

Finally got the HE installed today, took a couple hours to do but no leaks no major issues.

Now I'm looking on how to reconfigure the stock fuel pump to push the cold fuel to the HE and have the heated fuel re-enter the stock pumps fuel line enroute to the stock fuel filter bowl.

Photos of the installed HE to follow.

Here's some pics from the HE installed on Friday. Just need to upgrade the fuel line size on Monday.
