Only 2,700 miles on her so far, but made a trip to my mom's this last weekend; all highway, cruise locked on 74, 19.2 MPGs!!!

That's really good. What were your RPM's at 74? Possibly keeping the cruise at 70 and/or not over 2000 RPM's will probably push that over 20. Of course, as the engine gets "broken in" more, the numbers will also improve.

Fuel economy need improvement

Guys;
My 2011 SD is a work truck and the fuel economy is not good at all. My truck has a Leer camper shell and a Bedslide loaded with 1500-1800 lbs of tools. My truck is getting around 12-12.5 MPG. I've checked it on the road, off road and the average is still low. I now have over 16,000 miles on the truck. Any suggestions other than lessen the load?

It takes a long time to get these engines broken inn. More than you have, something like 20,000 + miles. It will get better over time. You won't see 30 mpg, ever.

X2!!

Now if Ford would put a diesel in a 150, you might see 30 mpg. Some people are getting 25+ mpg with the EcoBoost V-6, so it could be possible, if they'd "wise up" and build it.

Are you holding the button down until it resets? If you don't hold it down long enough it say "reset canceled".

I just drove 454 miles from southern Indiana to Milwaukee, WI and averaged 21.3 mpg on my 6.7 liter F250. I could only be happier if LSD was $2 a gallon.
