with the 900 gallon tank that was on my 550 it was about 6.5 mpg but since i've pulled the tank off i haven't done the math or drove it long enough to get a update.

but just looking at the distance it took to get it from my work with and with out the tank it looks like it improved alot

I'm happy to get 15 when it is really cold; drove back from Indy 2 weeks ago.Cold start at 8F, drove into hard NW wind 120 miles and the temp dropped to -4 by time I got home. Mileage was 12.5 at 70, and 14 at 65 (wind was awful). Two days ago, it was 40F and I got 19 mpg on shorter trip running around 65-70. Normally, above 2000 rpm and mileage goes south in a hurry.

I just made a 300 mile trip (mostly highway) running 70/75 with about 700 lbs in the bed and averaged 13.7 mpg.

Ok sounds about normal it gets a little better if I recalculate for the bigger tires but the old IDI with 4.10s seemed to always get 16 no matter the weather or the driving as long as it was empty thats what we got. I mainly wondered so I would now if I needed to look for a reason the mileage was low or if that was the norm with the cold. Thanks guys

i think milegae does typically go down in the winter due to the winter blend of diesel that is used. Seems like ive heard this before? Anyone?

My truck is pretty consistent to get between 18-20 in the summer and 14-16 in the winter. It has been like that since I put the chip on it. Before then it was worse.
