I got it ALL working against me...
longer commute, more stops, lower speeds, up & down hills...
persistent cold weather...
plus I've been flipping the chip into "stock" to reduce wheelspin on icy roads..

I was worried I got the low mileage lemon for a bit my 96 gets 10-13 and never any better

I just got 20mpg on a road trip. The truck is most economic under 2000 rpm. I stayed at about 72 mph(2000 rpm). around town mileage is about 15-17

I just drove from Virginia to Florida with 800lb in the bed, two bikes in a hitch rack, and a filthy air filter. I was burning around 16.2 MPG driving 65-75 MPH.

Since that trip I cleaned and oiled the filter and am back to getting high 17s around town.

Since I put "rebuilt" injectors in two months ago I've got between 7.1 and 9.5. ok one hit 10.9 But it ran better with my old injectors!
At least the rebuild company was willing to swap them with new Allient for the difference.
Most of that was pulling my trailer...my GVW was only 40k a few times.
