front end issues

i own an 2004 F250 super duty diesel, king ranch, and recently had a 4" lift put on. since then ive been noticing that the truck has been driving like crap. (ride wise) i brought it back to the place that did the lift and they say they cant find anything. i brought it to two other reputable places and have had u joints, ball joints, inner tie rod end, and bushing replaced. it has helped, but not solved my problem. anybody have any experience with this, or know of a mechanic in or around denver who is an expert at front ends? HELP.

What do you have for a steering stabilizer on the truck now? Who makes the lift? Tires? Size? We don't know anything about your truck!

yeah sorry.... the tires are still stock and i assume the steering stabilizer is too. i had a pro comp 4" suspension lift put on. the tires are cooper discoverer at and the size is the stock size. ive been wanting to move up to 35s on 20" wheels but this issue is killing my headway

Well that's better now, you might want to think about upgrading the steering stabilizer first, 4" is not alot and shouldn't cause many front suspension issues. Did the shop do an alignment on your truck right after?

yeah and the alignment is good too, one thing i dont have to worry about. there are other issues, its really hard to turn the wheel when im barely moving forwards and there is a thunk when i first roll forward after being parked(while pulling straight out of a spot)

did you have the driveshaft realigned? sounds like that might be your issue...

i havent had that done and your the first person to mention it. is that needed with a 4 inch lift?

Lift

Don't think you should have to worry about the driveshaft angle, typically over 6" then yes. The steering stabilizer is a good place to start and as for the clunk, grease the rear driveshaft slip shaft. Mark it and pull it apart, grease it and reassemble exactly the way it came off. If you don't then you'll have a nice vibration to deal with.

yeah with that clunk u mentioned sounds like a u joint/ driveline issue and maybe power steering causing the hard to steer??
