There was a TSB/Revision with the headbolts/headgaskets Ford is now using an "imroved" gasket and new torque pattern and specs to help with the problem, that they have been having since 2003 when the 6.0 first came out,
like bush said, the HPOP connector has only been an issue on 05+ trucks and the TSB was just issued in 06.

Apparently my 04 didn't know that when the connector broke.

Something just seems crooked about adding warranty-voiding aftermarket parts, blowing it up, removing them, and taking the truck in expecting Ford to pay for the damage....

Well, its really not much different than Ford selling you a $50,000 truck and getting a re-call for a .35 snap-ring in your transmission. And maybe then getting a Focus to drive for weeks while they have your new truck your still making payments on. Kind of the same as buying an 08 and having the cab removed multiple times while they try to figure out "The Tick"and meanwhile your in an old Escort they had lying around. Not at all unlike having your HPOP connector come unglued and having to have it flat-bedded to the dealer because they saved .50 an engine by not using the right parts. Seems to me that them taking financial shortcuts that affect your vehicle is about the same as John Q. Public wanting the truck to run the way it should.

Only if the warranty voiding aftermarket parts were the CAUSE of the blowup.;)

I have always been upfront and honest with my dealer about what I have added to my truck. Not once have I ever tried to mislead them or fool them into covering something for me if I tore it up.

Shoot, they have even helped me with some of the mods I have done. They installed the head studs, regulated fuel return system, and the EGR block-off plate.

Now keep in mind, this was all done in the 140,000 mile plus range. :D

Well the truck goes in tomorrow. Have the ARP head studs on the way and the dealer says if all goes right I should have the truck back by Tuesday? No kidding these folks at Galpin say they have a dozen heavy line mechanics. Would be done by Friday if they didn't have to wait for the parts.

Bush, I don't know the TSB number, that is just what I was told by both the tech and the service writer when my truck was in the shop the last couple of weeks. :sorry

GO BIG, glad to here that they're working with you, hope you get the truck back soon, keep us updated!

You should do some more reading/research before flapping your gums, none of the parts he is pulling off are "warranty voiding" parts, some dealers are just anal, and will try to void warranties for ANY aftermarket parts. Also the problems that he is having, are VERY common with 6.0's, even stock ones, and are not caused by anything he has done to his truck.
