I will go out on a limb here as well and say that if someone comes up with a schematic, and a source for the plugs, I will make one. If it is not too hard, I will make more than one. I can get all the relays and stuff here local, so that stuff should not be a big deal.

info?

This sounds like exactly what I need.

Ok, I'm on it. I'll look tonight when I get home. I'll try and post my findings tomorrow night (after I get home from snowmobiling)

Jim...

Lemme know if you can get some pictures of your breakout box.. that would help a bunch.. I may be able to make something with just pics..

Hardest part is setting up the relays to do the switching as close to the plugs as possible. If you all the wires up to a remote switch, I have heard messes with the computer and it gets confused, or maybe something about high voltages at the switches.. -mad

How many wires we talking about? probably about 50 or so if I recall.

Would this plug into the IDM or PCM?

IDM would make more sense actually..

Ok, I can't find the write-up and until Kevin gets back I can't get it (march 4th) :sorry, But here's the description in a nut shell:
It's a black plastic box about 8" x 8" and has 8 switches that are numbered 1-8. It has an attached bundle of wires (16 of them) that goes from the black box to the main harness on the driver’s wheel well. We got a stock male and female connector form a harness at a junkyard, we then turned the harness connectors backward and spliced into them to make a "T" so you can unplug the stock harness and insert this plug so everything will operate normally.
From the "T" all you have to do is cut each of the 8 injector wires and run 1 end of the wire up to 1 switch and then run another wire from the switch back to the "T" to connect to the other end of the injector wire, this is so you can break the connection with the switch to turn that injector off.
I'll try and get a better write-up for you guys and maybe some pics.

I attached a drawing that I made using MS Paint, I think I set the Art world back a few hundred centuries

It seems that there are two distinct items being talked about in the thread. One is a breakout box that will allow one to access the individual signals being sent to and from the PCM for diagnostic purposes. The other would be an injector cutoff box that would allow individual injectors to be selectively cancelled. This would go in at the big connector near the underhood fusebox and IDM. There used to be an article for the injector box somewhere, but I haven't been able to relocate it (I'll keep searching). Cheers!

Jim.. what harness are you splitting into? and what signals are you interupting?
