Best prank you've pulled...

Me and two other Steelworkers were tasked at welding some end caps for a dump gate on a 5 Ton dump. The other Secondand I had the junior troop weld it. The prank went on as every time the jr troop would go to weld we would flip a switch on the welder so it wouldn't arch, but when myself or the other second welded we would again flip the switch so it would arch. This went on for a good hour until we got bored-popcorn and decided to add a little more to it by having a mechanic come over and ask if the battery was disconnected before welding. The jr troop not knowing you should said he didn't know. We then had the mechanic act like he was checking the battery and electric then pretend it was bad. Man... That mech slammed the door to the truck and started screaming at this kid for messing up the truck. The poor kid started blaming us saying that we welded on it to and that he didnt know blah blah blah. I come around the corner as he is standing there with this What in the World just happenend look on his face and I believe a tear in his eye and i just point and laugh. He was a good sport about it and we set the welder right and he finished the job, of course making sure we were a good distance from the welder.
