I'm in a different boat, I've got a "dependent" that I can't claim.

Our 24 year old daughter moved back home. She's not pitching in for rent or anything else for that matter. I'm not real happy about it, but she moved back home after breaking up with the A-HOLE boyfriend she used to have. It took over a year of everybody in the family and all her friends trying to convince her what an intolerable jerk he was. Once she broke up with him, she finally saw the light.

So bad news, I can't write her off on taxes because of her age.
Good news, the jerk is gone.

Dang suburban had a Vortec engine with the '92 TBI injection that I'd hot rodded at the machine shop I worked at. Balanced bottom end with shot peened beam polished rods, polished Vortec heads, Vortec roller cam. I did all the port work, block work(true decked, align-honed mains, bored and honed to +.020.) I did all the rod work including sizing. Watched all the crank work get done. It was a blueprinted engine, down to making the comdustion chamber CC identical. The thing would move for a burb. Tranny didn't last long, I think 6 months.
