well, the hot glue held together for about 2 hours. finally bit the bullet and soldered the rim around the lense back together. i had to do it with the lense in, so it got alittle hot, but now i can see again.

still gonna check into the lazer corrective surgery. the surgical corridinator has sent me a package of what they offer. it cost a ton, but it would be worth it to me.

i have used the gorilla glue before on wood, it requires the moisture to begin the curring process.

Norm Abram on 'This Old House" uses it alot.

Daughter had it done. She couldn't see a 2" LED clock numbers at 6'. She is 20-20 now and says it the best $2500 she has ever spent. I think you will be happy with the laser surgery.

Not everybody is a good candidate for Lasik surgery. I'm not. -mad It's suited for those who need a single correction. I wear progressive lenses and was told that it could be done BUT one eye would be for closeup and the other for distance. This is totally unacceptable.

i am near sighted and have a estigmatism

makin the call today to check into lazer corrective eye surgery. i have had it with glasses :cussing:

I was the same, near sighted and had a slight astigmatism, had the surgery and have been 20/15 in both eyes now for three years:thumbs . I had glasses for nearly 20 years and then contacts for about 3 or so and hated both:cussing: . Its awesome being correction free.:sweet

You're from south of Mason-Dixon so I'll forgive you a little, but you DO know you're supposed to take the glasses off your face while you're soldering on them, don't you?;)
