All the lenses are pretty much standard. I fyou go to a good optician, they might be able to fix you up with some new frames.

Not thinkin of jb weld or duct tape automatically revokes yer southern privalages. Now yer gonna have to move above kentucky and trade yer truck in for a volvo. Roy he didnt have any problems drivin he just put his hand over the lens that fell out. As jb weld goes the jb kwik dries alot lighter shade than the regular.

bama-

i spend money on my glasses- you only have one pair of eyes.

at christmas 1996 i spent $350 for a set of titanium frames. key thing for me was that they did NOT have nosepads....i can not even remember the brand now. they were italian fasion frames, but i did not care, they were titanium and well built.

11 years later, i have put 4 new sets of lenses in them after eye exams.

i am tough on glasses- i DO fall asleep on the couch wearing them, working in the shop. in fact, once in south dakota chasing ditch chickens, the wind was SO bad, they blew off my face and flew 5 yards ahead of me. found them by throwing my had where they had landed and crawled on my hands and knees.

so my advice is spend money on QUALITY glasses.

well, i did find an old pair from a previous Rx. there scratched up bad, but i can still see.

the JB weld is curing overnight on my good pair.

i am gonna make an app. tho to see my eye dr., then i plan on seeing a dr. in birmingham that performs the lazer corrective surgery.

they do a blade free procedure and the surgery is a custom procedure that is designed around my eyes needs, instead of just an average surgery for people that have the same problems as I.

its very pricey tho, but i think it will be well worth it. for what the surgery will cost, i could do some stage 2 inj. and a new turbo.

update:

the JB weld didnt hold up when i tried to put the lense in this morning.

SO, my wife has a super strength hot glue gun that we just used to hold it together for alittle while i hope.

basically had to put the lense in and hold it all together while she pumped the hot glue on the broken spot.

holding for now :sweet

I just fixed a pair for my F.I.L. and they are holding up well. I used Gorilla Glue and it worked out, but you gotta read the instructions. Seems kinda counter-intuitive to wet something before you glue it, but it works. good luck.
