Obviously, reading the entire thread pwns me. :D

Yes, you will like seeing well again. I wouldn't worry about doing each eye over a span of time. Have there been problems? Sure. Are they now as likely as in the past? No.

Besides, they DO each eye independently, so there you go.

The only thing that will feel weird is when the surgeon applies that suction cup thinghy to your eyes. You'll lose vision momentarily and see nothing but blackness for a few seconds. :D And it hurts like a mother! Oh, man... I didn't know pain could go to such levels.

Haha! No, it doesn't hurt. I'm just razzing ya.

as a matter of fact, they do both eyes at the same time now.

the doctor will cut a flap on the surface of the eye and then the lazer does its work.

Uhhh.. I just went through it. They do each eye independently. In my case, Right eye first, then after he was done with that, he moved on to the left eye. :D

they may do them both at EXACTLY the same time, but I don't see why they would do that.

ps. And the suction cup thinghy? They apply that right before they cut the flap.

well, i meant to say they do both eyes at the same visit. in the beginning, i have been told that they would do one eye, you go home and come back later for the other eye.

i guess i need to say what i mean, and mean what i say. :roflmao :sweet

so DO, how soon did the good vision happen after the surgery?? immediate, 10 to 15 minutes???

as long as i am knocked out and dont really feel or know anything is happening, i should do fine.

i have this thing about stuff being in my eyes or touching them. i guess you could say i am very "eye shy"

well, we were at the beach this afternoon after we ate supper, and i had my 3yo old on my shoulders, and he accidently hit my glasses and the right lense popped out.

so long good bye, its somewhere in the atlantic ocean. now i have to drive 525 miles to home tomorrow and only able to see with one good eye.

looks like my wife gets the much needed "interstate miles" driving training that she puts off with every trip we take.

they did both eyes...gave 'em a valium and set 'em home....i called
to see how he was doin.....he was out in the garage working...

he (and i) were amazed...he said the difference was night and day
as soon as he was home...and over the next few days it continued
