Hey guys, first post.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I just sealed the deal on a take off bed from an '08 which includes the tailgate,bumper and tail lights. From what I could tell, everything should work, but this is nice to see it in photos. I have an 02 F350 and plan on just using the tailgate, lights and bumper. What's nice is the handle is allready on the tailgate, so all I have to do is swap the hinge from the new bed to mine. For the price I got, I couldn't turn down the take-off. (Anyone near Utah want a brand new long bed? )

My only concern is the top plastic cap. I have a shell and the new cap sticks out more than my '02. Do you think I could just put my '02's cap on it instead and keep the shell glass closing tight?

Woo Hoo, can't wait until next week when I can swap everything!

i thought the old cap would fit too, but it will not. you're gonna have to use the 2008 cap.

Hey Bama, I got my 08 take off bed and have a stupid question. How the heck do you get the tailgate off? I pull up on an angle on the passenger side, then try pulling straight out like on my '02 gate, but it won't come off the driver side hinge. Is there something different since it has the spring in the gate now for 08? Or is it just tight?Thanks
