Has anyone seen the pictures of the new 2007 Toyota Tundra? It's supposed to be bigger than the F150, Silverado, and Ram 1500. I've seen pictures on several sites, one of the best sites is Toyota's: www.toyota.com where they have a preview of the truck with specs and other info. It's supposed to have three engines, the biggest is a 5.7 L 330 HP V8 and a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. The extended cab looks like a ripoff of Dodge's Quad Cab with the same type cab. They will also have a regular cab and a crew cab. The crew cab will have a 6.5 ft bed. If they ever put a diesel in it, Ford will really have some serious competition. Also click on: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=AUTO01 and read the article: "Bad A** Tunrda". Check out the photo gallery.

Is it a good looking truck? Some would say so. Is it a powerful truck? At 330 HP it is not to bad. TQ is what? They didn't say. 10.000 is a nice little load. Ford Trucks have been number one for 29 years. I will still be buying Ford Trucks and not some Johnny Come lately that says they can pull a 10,000 LB trailer. My trailer weighs in at 11,500 .I have a Ford PowerStroke because it has so much power it doesn't know the 11,500 is back there.:sweet :sweet :thumbs

Kinda looks like a toyotafied superduty. Much better looking than that abomination that honda put out . . .

I'd have to consider one if they ever put a diesel in it. Without a diesel I'll just drive my X for another 10 years. :)

It also looks a little like the Dodge, especially if you take out the lines in the grille and put in the Dodge "plus bar". I would imagine that both Nissan and Toyota will have a diesel in the next couple of years, but hopefully not before diesel F150's and Expeditions.

To me it looks like a cross-eyed bull dog that ran it's face into a wall, not very pretty to me. Is this targeted at the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, or the 1/2 ton trucks? It seems to me that they built the Tundra as a 7/8 version of a 1/2 ton truck, at least the older ones, bigger and more capable than a Ranger-sized truck, but smaller than a 1/2 ton.

Also looks like they copied the F150 interior, and as mentioned alot of other trucks.

I'll stick with the Big 3, the "original" domestics, not the newer "domestic imports". I'll buy a Dodge or GM before those.

I dunno about that, I would easily buy a Yoda if I needed something that wasnt diesel. They have extremely smooth engines that could last forever. I know this because when I got my license my parents tested me on a 4Runner for a couple of months before they would let me buy my dads truck off him.

Oh and I'll never buy a GM :D
