    When I get home I 'll see what info I have around. I run Amsoil Severe gear in the rear with a Mag-Hytec cover and I do like it. I check the dip stick once a year for lavels and shavings.

    Each rectangle is a tooth. Each representing the worst and best teeth I saw on the plate. I assume that the wear areas are where the starter engages the plate. Sorry, looking back I se it is a bit confusing.

    Was able to view the flex-plate and I am not sure if I need to replace or not. Some of the teeth look to be worn half way while some have almost no wear. . Sorry, forgot camera at garage. Do I replace it or should it be good for another 100,000+? Thanks again for all the help.

    Well the nuts are off. I was REALLY surprised at how easy it is to turn the flexplate. Did it with two hands. Thanks again.

    Well, I am working on replacing the transmission. Down to where I just need to remove the transfer case and trans. Any tips or tricks to make it easier? Specifically, how do you turn the torque converter/flex plate to remove the bolts? Reinstall the starter and bump the motor...

    comment FPR gauge warning

    I traced a diesel smell in the cab to the gauge under the hood. Fluid had leaked out of the gauge and was also leaking fuel at idle. It is no longer in the truck and the smell has left the cab.

    If I am correct, they are wires that you can use to hook accessories up to. Under the dash should be the other end of the wires. Forget the "correct" name but that is the purpose.
