Who's smarter than me? with electrical???

It's oiled. I never had the problem with the simple consumer grade small motor compressors. But I was buying one every year due to daily use.

Who's smarter than me? with electrical???

I have tried other compressors and get the same result. I'm thinking it's the split output problem because my previous Honda 3000 watt 110V only generator was successful just as often as the 6000 watt Deere. When I picked out the Deere I just assumed I was doubling my capacity. Thanks

Who's smarter than me? with electrical???

Compressor and Generator are mounted next to each other in the trailer. It's always been plugged in direct - no cord. Thanks

Who's smarter than me? with electrical???

I have a 6000 watt Deere generator I use daily for work. It has issues starting a simple 1 hp stacked tank air compressor. On colder days I need to completely drain down the tank on the Air to get the compressor to kick over. After it starts once and gets warm, it's fine. The only manufacturer...

    6.7 L Powerstroke for 2011

This is going to bum out some die hard manual fans. Ford officially says the standard manual transmission is gone as of the 2011 model year. The take rate was too low to justify continuing production of the ZF-source 6-speed handshaker. The rear cover of the new engine follows an SAE 12 bolt...

    Replacing rear diff cover....

Ah... I see now. I was looking at the socket cap head just cuz that's what the diesel manor kit comes with and I figured there must be a reason. Here's a laugh... I could have had Military/Aerospace grade stainless for 65% less than the dealer wanted for OEM steel. $6.35/ea - After 100 years...

    Replacing rear diff cover....

I saw those too. But they're just coated. Nothing beats stainless all the way through if you don't have to torque them down too much.

    Replacing rear diff cover....

Thanks guys. I dropped off some stainless bolts and washers at the dealer this morning. Still having them do the work though. It's getting a HPOP fitting and some other issues are being corrected. So as long as it's sitting there, they can play in the oil. Parts were 1.50 for stainless bolts &...

    Replacing rear diff cover....

My 06 is in the dealer for various issues. Since I'm having them swap the diffs/transfer case fluids & my rear cover is rusting bad, I asked that they replace the cover with the 08+ cover. I expected 70-80$ for the cover and a bit more for new bolts. They came back with $162 (stainless @13.50...

    How much oil?

With a 1.2 qt bypass filter, I always use a full 4 gallons. 16 qts. That always puts the level at the top of the hash marks for me. So without the bypass, 14.8ish.

Question: Has anyone added the aux switches

Question Did the dealer detune my stock truck some more???

It could have not been stock to begin with. So "stock" to you feels like you've lost something.

Help Needed I'm stumped here guys. Could I get some input?

I can't help with your problem. I just wanted to say sweeeeeet set up there :clap::clap: Only thing better than lifting your own cab, is the ability to do it inside. What was your lifting mechanism? ratchet straps? :hail:sweet

    Alternator

I went through 3 on the wife's truck before we got one with a good regulator. All of them fluctuated the voltage from 12-15. No more autozone parts for me after that. I'm going to sound old here; "But they REALLY don't make things like they used to!"

    Help....

Yet another chance for everyone to laugh at me. After trying every setting on my meter for an hour or so. I realized all I had to do is look at the wiring harness for the head unit and match the colors. Never occurred to me before that the wires go direct to the speakers from that location. I...

    Help....

I'm installing new speakers and a head unit and forgot to order speaker connector harnesses. (that's just what happens when I don't order from Crutchfield) I have no patience and am just cutting the wires. Of course there is no marking for + - on the factory speakers/harness. Is there a...

    Steering box gear mesh

Did mine a couple weeks ago by removing the air filter. It was still a pain to get an allen wrench in there (past the radiator hose) so I cut some fan shroud out of the way with a dremmel. This gave me enough clearance to use a socket with a 6" extension on the allen. Much easier! I could repeat...

    Coolant filter ???

I cut the filter open today. But couldn't get the camera to show what I was seeing. I did the grinder wheel around the base (thanks Dave) and the whole casing came off easily w/o any added debris. The inside of the casing probably had 1/2-1 teaspoon of sand/grit in the bottom. So I cut the...

    Coolant filter ???

Not cut open yet. I've noticed some guys have used a band saw to cut them open and when they show the contents half of what's there looks like metal shavings from the cutting. To avoid that, I'll use some kind of shears to open mine. Maybe the attachment for the air hammer. Pics will follow

    Coolant filter ???

So.... As you will read above I questioned the coolant filter. My thinking was, "what could possibly be flowing through the system" "how can this thing get enough flow to do any good" Well When I was changing the oil yesterday (after driving 30 miles) I touched the coolant filter and it wasn't...
