    Bed Liners

I have Line-x on both my trucks, no problems here. I have used them to pick up 2 tons of crushed limestone and shoveled it out by hand hacking away at the liner with every scoop. Still looks fine after hosing the bed out. The Line-X shop here says they will respray it for the life of the truck...

    02 7.3 or 03 6.0???

Sounds very fair I was looking for 26K on my 03 but it has more miles & some blemishes.

    02 7.3 or 03 6.0???

Less than 17K for either of those trucks is a deal. The trade in value on My 03 6.0 was only 19.5K w/ 70,000 on it. loaded 03 models are sitting on dealer lots for 28-34 K in my area.

    Warranty question--not typical one though!

I would be happy they didn't cancel the warranty and take the 200$ hit. Actually not even that much. You would have had a 100$ deductable so your only paying 100 more than that!!! Maybe take a look in the mirror and slap the tightwad side of you in the face ;) I find I need to slap myself...

    Job Build Identifier?

Since nobody else answered I'll take a stab at it!! I think???? Job #1 indicates the first part of the year. Before the 2 week summer plant shut down. & Job #2 is after that point. So J2 would be a newer truck for the same model year as J1. I didn't consider buying a J1 when I bought my 06...

How to lube upper ball joint on 99 F250 PSD

If you have the same front end as my 03 (I'm pretty sure you do) There isn't enough clearance between the bottom of the ball joint and the cv joint for the 45 or 90. Give your axle a spin and watch your clearance before you take the old zert out. A 45 or 90 can take up double the space a nice...

How to lube upper ball joint on 99 F250 PSD

You need one of these!!!! http://www.nationaltoolwarehouse.com/xq/asp/prodid.93450/TID./qx/product.htm You can probably get one from a local auto parts store. They slide on from the side instead of directly over the Zert. You still may need to spin your u joint to give yourself enough room.

    Hey Bio people....

I saw Bio available at a station for the first time since I've been driving a diesel. It was 2.85 & #2 was 2.89 Only a 4 cent savings. Can it be burned in my 06 6.0 without problems or mods? Unless I find a 20+ cent savings I probably wouldn't use it anyway, but I was curious if I could? Thanks

    Bedplate leak repair Questions

Mine was done about 7-8K ago. After multiple attempts at leak repairs involving sensors & gaskets. Since then the motor has been dry. The truck was out of service for about 5 working days. I would ask your dealer exactly who will be doing the work & how many of these has he done. You don't...

    03 vs 06 - 6.0 cooling

My new 06 fan started kicking on today. (About 90 degrees out). In the 60K miles I drove my 03 with some days much hotter than today, the fan never kicked on. I was wondering if anyone has the same issue with an 03 and if some of my breakdowns have been due to inadequate cooling. The latest...

    Bad Monday morning....

I've seen the same damage on a few other trucks also. I say screw the 150/ft/lb torque spec I'm going higher. What else could it possibly be besides intentional loosening or too low of a spec for the weight I carry. Over the weekend we were in an area of Michigan without many people so I can't...

    Bad Monday morning....

So the last time I torqued my lugs was 2 weeks ago, all was good then. Over the weekend we took a 1000 mile trip north with no signs of trouble. Monday morning I hook up the work trailer and head out. 60 miles to my first stop, all ok. 80 Miles to my second stop, I made it about 78 of them. As I...

    Shocks...ProComp ES9000

rides like new again... Did the ball joints, shocks, sway arm bushings, brakes & steering damper over the weekend. I feel like I'm driving an 06 now. :thumbs I don't really have a good shock reference for comparison since the front shocks were completely blown out, but the Procomp9000 feels...

    Latest recall results.. 06E17

Beachbumcook, Yep that's it It appears when my truck went in the first time something was not done correctly. A final resolution was not reached until I brought it back a third time & took the tech who worked on it for a ride. After I was able to show him what was happening he grabbed his...

    reciever

Mine says "V-5 15000/1500 with weight dist & 6000/600 without". I have over 1000/7000 attached full time to mine. weight distribution never even crossed my mind, it seems to ride fine. I was guessing on my previous post since my truck was in the shop.

    ? sway arm parts...

Sorry, I guess a wasn't that clear. I ordered replacement bushings for my stock sway arm. The bushings are easy, they go on the axle side of the arm. But the kit also came with other bushings that say they are supposed to replace the insides of the drop arms. This is the end that attaches the...

    ? sway arm parts...

I have a stock sway arm on the front of my 350. The kit I ordered from Energy Suspension says the innards of the drop links are replaced also. They sure don't seem like they're supposed to come out. Has anyone done this?
