I'm trying to figure out how to lube the upper ball joints on my 1999 F250 SD PSD. The zerk fittings are on the bottom facing straight down and there doesn't appear to be room to put my grease gun fitting on the nipple. How do you do these?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.:burnit

I would use a low profile grease gun end, or you might have to pull teh wheel, I have a gun with a snap to fit 90 degree bent tip its about 1 " long , its about 50 years old and has a ford oval crushed into it.. father in law gave it to me many moons ago

or remove the zerk and put in a 90 degree zerk??:sorry

pull'em out and replace them with 45 degree or 90 degree zerts if you can. I know on the moog ball joints IO put a 45 on the top one and a straight one on the bottom ones.

Thanks for all the suggestions and info. I think I'll replace the fittings with either 45 or 90 degree ones. This appears to be the best approach. I did like the grease gun adapter too.

If you have the same front end as my 03 (I'm pretty sure you do) There isn't enough clearance between the bottom of the ball joint and the cv joint for the 45 or 90. Give your axle a spin and watch your clearance before you take the old zert out. A 45 or 90 can take up double the space a nice stubby straight zert will.

Good luck
