    Newbie needs help

I have read many posts where K&N Filter lets larger particles through which could lead to "dusting" of the engine. I have used K&N filters before on my Harley-Davidson & a gas pick-up. They are good filters but for Diesels applications they are not the best choice. The best for our engines...

    Aftermarket LED Clearance Lights

I can't believe I'm going to recommend the dealer (stealer) on this one. But when I bought my F250 they charged about $150 for the kit and $250 to install it. Figured it wasn't a bad price at the time. If you want to save the extra cash I would just use some silicone when you mount the lights...

    help....wire thats burnt....

OK, here's what it seems like to me. Your EBPV is disconnected. The plug you are talking about at the front of the turbo pedestal controls the EBPV piston. This is not a problem - many people disconnect it because they get a sticky EBPV, or some remove the EBPV totally to reduce back pressure...

    help....wire thats burnt....

OK guys, here is links to two photos of the connections Mike is talking about. The first is a picture of the white wire connecter at the base of the HPOP/fuel filter assembly. The second is a picture of the wire connection at the base of the turbo pedestal. I have no idea why the wire at...

I would also check to see if you still have your exhaust back pressure valve (EBPV) installed. Did you buy the truck used? Many people remove them to reduce the back pressure after adding more HP. It sounds like the electrical connection to the turbo pedestal is for your EBPV. Can you take any...

Early '99 VS. Late '99... some questions

Jason, I installed the Wicked Wheel on my 2003 (Van turbo) to reduce turbo surge. I believe the design was changed in '99 because of the turbo whistle. Some people didn't like it so they changed the blade angles to reduce the whistle. Now, everyone wants the whistle! (at least the folks on...

Spitting coolant all over the engine

He said that Ford reflashed the program and put a lower mark on the reservior bottle. He's been keeping it about 1/2 lower than the mark and still pukes out under the trailer load. How low can you keep the bottle? He's been toying with the idea of adding another coolant reservior in someplace.

Spitting coolant all over the engine

Got a question for a friend on the road. He's got a 2004 F250 6.0. He sent it into the dealer for about a month. They replaced the turbo, new heads and a few other things. The originl problem was the beast spitting coolant out from the reservior while towing a trailer/camper (@ 8,000 lbs.)...

Thanks Antonio, My EBPV rod is hanging there, oil started to leak from it @ 2 months ago so I had to goop it up with some JB weld. Solved the problem, I just wanted to put the pedestal on sooner or later.
