    Missing/no power

Yes, bad batteries, and dirty connections on the cables at "both" ends, can cause these trucks to do some crazy things sometimes. If the batteries check o.k. per the above instructions, and the alt checks out, then make sure the cables are in good shape as well. Good luck

How to Service Front Wheel Bearing on 4x4???

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the ford sealed front bearings are known pieces of junk, based on the picture in zmann argh's sig, he'll get to change those bearings often as well. (based on the oversize tires) I love the lifted trucks, and the big tires too, but sealed bearing...

    Clipped wires/?????????

Remember, you don't need to worry about the wires coming out of the white connector that is plugged into the pedestal, because they're dead now, what you need to make sure of, is if the other side of those wires(ie the harness) are bare and shorting to ground, or together. As long as the...

    Snow in California?

I was following those escorts Joe was talking about, up the hill on the 58, got to mojave and things cleared up and I was clickin along about 75 mph in az, when in seligman az, there was ice on the road bad! Two different fed-ex trucks pullin doubles spun out on the ice, right next to each...

    DP Tuner high idle

Or just disconnect the ebpv wiring connector, and it will still idle up but not hiss? Not to sure about the up idle option as I don't have it. But mine does'nt hiss anymore, where it used to automaticly. Just a thought, it's easy as heck and cheap as can be!

    4x4/air conditioning issue

    Diesel Engines ~ Cold Starts

X2! Well said! These trucks are "oil burners" and they are sometimes onery, which, much like the other women we love, make them noisy and fussy when things aren't exactly to there liking. But, much like the other women, were not ever gonna be able to "fix" everything, everytime. Sometimes...

    Tire Pressures ?

Tires always mysteriously "lose" air in the colder temps. There's a jury out on whether it is the same air, just colder, thus less expansion. Or whether it actually leaks out somewhere. I have to go around to all the trailer tires(which have steel wheels), in the fall, and tighten all the...

    Help Needed electrical issues

Could also be a bad ground connection some where, check the batt cables at the posts, and at the other end also.(ie frame, engine block, firewall, etc) Also check for the usual ground connections from the cab to the frame.(ie ground straps) Your wiring diagram should show you where they are...

    Water in the tank

X2, my thoughts exactly. Pull the tank and drain it, then do the hutch n harpoon mods. That should pretty much cover it.

Any chance of TTB knuckles on a D60

That's part of my problem as well, all the brake jobs become brain spaghetti after a while. And as you can see, the balljoints do as well. Cant remember much at all till I see it firsthand, then it all comes rushing back. Good luck.

    Ebpv

That's on the to do list for me as well, I think anything we can do to stay off the brakes is a benefit. That's why I like the stickshifts. Just google the ebpv as a exhaust brake and you'll find several how-to articles for a homemade wiring job.

    Snow in California?

Oh, I got outta oakland all right, all the way to bakersfield. Then they shut down the 58, now I'm stuck in bakersfield, with a load that needs to be in Charleston SC by friday! #@$% I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, I hope they open it early.

B/W 4407 Transfer Case Front Output Yoke

Sounds like it's time for atransfer case swap, I too, seem to find the obsolete stuff out there, and I know what it's like to not be able to find repalcement parts. check into the idea of trading it out for the more popular transfer case, lot's of times you can simply unbolt the old case,and...

    oil consumption

I believe shreckman had a similar problem, only much more serious. He's not the only one,but his case was the worst I've heard of, and it as I understand, was a bad injector that was bleeding off alot of oil. Hope that's not your problem, but it's something to consider.

Any chance of TTB knuckles on a D60

One thing to check to help you know could be to check part numbers on the balljoints on both axle assemblies. I wanna say that the 60 has different bj's because they don't have the caster/camber bushings the ttb's have. The knuckles have a much larger bj recess in the knuckle for this purpose...
