Colorado Storm

We got about 10-11" on Tuesday and then it dropped to -10 last night. With the block heater on, the beast cranked right over this morning without any complaints. Roads are still a mess and probably will be until we warm up to freezing this weekend. Supposed to be about -4 tonight. A little colder than we're used to way down here in the valley at 5000'. Some of the mountain areas got about 3'.

Just watched the forecast, supposed to get to -12 tonight and one of the towns about 20 miles away hit -22 degrees last night. Very rare for the valley. Time to stoke the fire......

I was following those escorts Joe was talking about, up the hill on the 58, got to mojave and things cleared up and I was clickin along about 75 mph in az, when in seligman az, there was ice on the road bad! Two different fed-ex trucks pullin doubles spun out on the ice, right next to each other, and blocked both lanes on I-40 for three hours. Needless to say, I didn't make it much past flagstaff az, that night. And they got 2 feet of snow...... But at least I made into the banana belt today. It's cold in alabama, but no snow in sight, now that's what I'm talking 'bout! I totally know why Joe lives in socal, I would too if I could! Snow is a story all the old timers talk about, but nobody ever sees it down there much.
