Remember, you don't need to worry about the wires coming out of the white connector that is plugged into the pedestal, because they're dead now, what you need to make sure of, is if the other side of those wires(ie the harness) are bare and shorting to ground, or together. As long as the harness side is seperated/covered/ sealed, you're good to go. Most people just unhook the white connector, to keep from dealing with cut/bare wires. And you don't have to wire the valve open at all, the exhaust flow will keep it open for ya. Sounds like it's been unhooked for a while now, and no problems. Just drive it!
