Normal EGT readings
Thanks for the replys. I called the people that installed the exhaust and my edge and they said more then likely the EGT probe went bad. They told me to bring it in tomorrow and they will replace it. Apparently they have had some trouble with a few of them. Hopefully this will fix it.- Scotgun

Normal EGT readings
Both of our trucks have the probe pre turbo. I just don't understand how a couple of weeks ago I could be cruising at 75 and my EGT's were under 600. This morning on my way to work I kept a close eye on them and they would range from 900 to 675. Again that's not getting after it real hard...- Scotgun

What I am trying to understand is how is my brothers truck with the same programmer and motor running 200* less EGT and he does not have the 4 in exhaust. It makes me think you might be on to something about the air filter. Is their any other reason for concerns? I don't want to burn down my...- Scotgun

Sorry for the delay in response I had some computer issues. I will have to check the air filter. I bought the truck in November so i am not sure when the last time the air filter was replaced. However I just had it in last week for an oil change and it's funny they didn't mention anything about...- Scotgun

Sorry but I am new to the diesel world. I have an 05 PSD. Edge platinum/attitude, and a 4 in cat back exhaust. I was driving home from work today and the outside temp was right around 65* F. I set the cruise at 62 MPH and 1750 RPM. My gauges showed Boost: 6 EGT: 750-850 Trans Temp: 152...- Scotgun

Oil Dipstick Broke
their are no dents in the hood. I think it's just one of those weak plastic pieces that happened to crack and break. I haven't noticed anything wrong with performance or oil pres.- Scotgun

Oil Dipstick Broke
Where the dip stick comes to a T it is broken of about a 1/4 of an in from the top. The T is black in color. To me it looks as if someone didn't put the stick it in all the way and when the hood got shut it broke the plastic tubing where it seals. The Dipstick is still intact it just doesn't...- Scotgun

Oil Dipstick Broke
i just bought an 05 CC SDD and last night when I had my edge programmer installed the guy noticed the dipstick was broke. I called my dealer today to order one and he said their have been issues with these engines getting back pressure forcing the dipstick up and breaking them. Is this true or...- Scotgun
