When In Doubt,THROTTLE ON
It all started out 14 years ago when I bought a 82 f-100 for my son and I for a project 2 years before he turned 16. It took 7 1/2 months this winter to complete a street/drag truck. It had been his dayly driver for many years and a learning experience for both of us with all the engine tranny combos that have been in it. Now it has a 408 cleveland with a c-6 and gearvenders overdrive in it. Made 715hp 605tq this spring on the dyno. Ran a 6.8 1/8 mile at 101mph two weeks ago and last nite did 10.5 1/4 at 126mph. Not to bad for a street legal small block on 91 octane. Once we get the bugs out there is a 900hp 434 windsor with a cleveland top end just waiting to be dropped in.
