Why is it at almost every truck pull i go to, atleast 75% of the trucks are Dodges runnin Cummins?
I went to a pull this weekend and out of 18 trucks there were 12 Dodges, 3 PSD's and 3 Durasmacks. it seems to be like this at every pull i go to.
What do you think?
I wish some of you fellas on here with really hot runnin PSD's could pull against 'em and takem to school

Simple enough to expain in one word.

Money.

It is cheaper and easier to pull the kind of power needed to participate in this sport with and engine that is easier to mod due to design and a glut of aftermarket parts. IMHO.

Yup, its cheap and easy to make 600hp on a 12V so thats what most of them run.

Staight 6 is all you need to say, torque up the ass at a low RPM but comes up short on the high end power and endurance

I would question the endurance comment, many many many 5.9's have pushed the million mile mark, granted, not at 600+ hp.
